Dr. E. Brent Hale Ph.D, LPC
Received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He has also received a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from BYU as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Utah. As a consultant to business and industry, he specializes in the development of high performance teams, the assessment of organizational culture and strategies to accomplish organizational change projects. Brent is the Chairman of the Drug Free Workplace Task Force for the State of Utah.

   

Sean M. Morris, MS, LMFT - Director
Received his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Development from Weber State University. He became a Certified Family Life Educator in 2002 and has been trained in Divorce and Child Custody Mediation. Areas of expertise are in crisis management, marriage and family issues, and marriage preparation. Sean has extensive experience in working with psychiatric facilities throughout the state. He is a Board Member for Lawyers Helping Lawyers and is a member of the Salt Lake Tooele Employer Council.

 


 
Darren Elkins, MS, LMFT
Received his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy for Utah State University. He also holds two Bachelors Degrees from the University of Utah in Psychology and Family & Human Development. He is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Darren has a wide range of experience and training including family education, domestic violence, neurofeedback, faith base therapy and sex offender treatment. His primary specialty is in marriage and family issues
   

Pamela Anderson, LPC,
Received her Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Utah. She has been certified as a behavioral health crisis counselor. Pamela is experienced in working with issues focusing on depression and mood disorders, anxiety, coping skills, relaxation techniques, assertiveness training, communication skills, mindfulness training, stress management, grieving process, interpersonal emotional reactivity, improving self concept, evaluating core beliefs and crisis intervention. Pamela is LDS for those requesting an LDS counselor.

   

Beth Passey, LCSW
Expertise in working with adult and adolescent populations. Skilled in use of cognitive and behavioral change approaches. MSW from California State.

   

Charlyn Raaberg, LPC
Received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Pepperdine University in California and is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her BA in Sociology is from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Charlyn has a wide range of experience, advanced training in Gestalt therapy and a background of ten years in private practice. Charlyn specializes in work with individual adults.

   

Judith Petersen, LPC

Received her MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda California and was trained as a California Marriage Family Child Counselor. Has a Utah LPC license. Specializes in individual, couple and family therapy, children, gay and lesbian issues, self esteem and women's issues. (Available only at the U of U campus Office.)

 

   

Brock Yancey, MS., LPC.
Received MS in Counseling Psychology in 1983 from the University of Utah, Department of Educational Psychology. He has previously worked with adult offenders in the correctional system and chronic mentally ill patients in the mental health system. Since 1990 he has worked full time at Salt Lake County Youth Services with families and adolescents. He currently supervises the Family Preservation program at Youth Services.

 

   
Spence Wood, MS, LMFT
Received a BS and MS in Psychology from Utah State University. He was employed as a District Psychologist with Nebo School District and then worked at the Utah State Hospital, Adolescent Unit as the Psychologist. He is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Part time employment has included a private practice, community college instructor and consultant to both private corporations and public agencies regarding marriage and family issues, emotionally disturbed youth, psychotherapy skills, human development, personal awareness and growth, leadership training and treatment of adolescent sex offenders.

 

 

Karla Arroyo CSW
Received her Masters degree from the University of Utah in Social Work. She holds a Bachelors from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in Mexico City. Karla has experience in working with community outreach, anxiety, depression, parenting skills, crisis intervention, and women's issues. Karla is bilingual/bicultural in Spanish.
   


Mary Jane Dow, MA, LPC
A New Hampshire native, Mary Jane was graduated from Wagner College with a BS and from the University of Iowa with an MA. Special professional interests include depression and anxiety disorders, and issues relating to bereavement, stress, substance abuse, ADHD and individuation, as well as career indecision and change. Faith-based counseling, women's issues and GLBT issues are of particular interest. Having worked at Cornell College and the University of Utah Counseling Center for a total of 23 years, she has a specialty in doing psychotherapy with "emerging adults", people aged approximately 17 to 27. Another specialty is working with older, or geriatric, adults, and she has had much experience in working with people of all ages. Mary Jane likes to cook, read, sing, walk/run, hike, ski and is active in the community, her church and the lives of her husband and children.

 

   


Marsha Hardman-Lundell, LCSW
Is a native of Salt Lake City and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Organizational Communications and her Masters of Social Work Degree from the University of Utah. She has been an employee of Primary Children's Center since December of 1989 and with the Center for Safe and Healthy Families for 12 years. Her professional experience includes 12 years of clinical assessment, evaluation and treatment of traumatized children and their families. She works with family violence, discrimination, poor academic performance, teen pregnancy, behavior problems, truancy, etc. (Available at U of U campus Office only.)
   


Sallie Weber, LCSW, MEd.
Completed her Masters of Social Work at the University of Utah. She has a BA in English education and a Masters of Education from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. She is currently an elementary school counselor in the Davis School District where she works with whole classes, small groups and individuals. She serves on the school district crisis team and has co-taught parenting classes. Sallie worked for Valley Mental Health in a residential facility that provides care for seriously and persistently mentally ill adults and that operates the SLC crisis hotline. She has worked with private therapy clients, presented workshops, taught college classes and taught junior high English. She loves reading and studying techniques for making life work and is inspired by helping people find their own wisdom and strength.

 

   

 

 

 


Geralynn Barney, LCSW
Graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and from University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Masters Degree in Social Work. She has experience in working with individual adults, teens and adolescents in the areas of domestic violence, women's issues, victims of child abuse and neglect, behavioral concerns with adolescents, anxiety, depression, gay/lesbian issues and working with parents of gay and lesbian teens or adults. Geralynn also works for Salt Lake County Division of Youth Services with children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect.
   

Patricia Totterer, LCSW
Patricia comes originally from the small country of Uruguay where she obtained a Bachelor's of Social Work Degree in 1982. She also has a Master's Degree from the University of Utah and has enjoyed working with children, adolescents and families both in private and public settings under a wide variety of circumstances. These have included working with refugee families in Europe, individuals in poverty situations in South America, individuals participating in the justice system, and populations recovering from addictive behaviors. Her expertise also include children and adolescent mental health issues, treating Attachment Disorders and family dynamics derived from adoption, divorce and foster care and how to therapeutically parent difficult children. She prefers to keep a no-fault, problem solve attitude to find hands on solutions to life's challenges utilizing everybody's strengths. Patricia has been married for 23 years and has six children that thrill her wit their diverse interests including music, film, art history, fashion and literature. She speaks four languages but her favorite one is the language of compassion.

   

Brad Hammel,
LCSW, SAP
Brad has been licensed as a Substance Abuse Professional since 2005. He graduated from the U of U with a BS in Health Education in 1998 and graduated from the University's one year Alcohol and Drug Training Program in 2007. He graduated from the U of U Graduate School of Social Work in 2002 and is licensed as a LCSW. Brad is able to conduct SAP evaluations with individuals. He specializes in A&D evaluations and treatment, depression and cognitive behavioral. Brad has been working in this field for 13 years.
   
Bill Moore, LCSW, SCWI, LSAC
Licensed as a substance abuse counselor since 1996. Graduated from the University of Vermont 1969 with Bachelors in Childhood Education. Graduated New York University MBA in 1976, Graduated University of Utah 2002 with Bachelors in Psychology. Graduated U of U with Master of Social Work in 2004. Licensed as a CSW 2004. Worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor in the adult population at Project Reality for 3 years. Work at the VA in patient psychiatric unit for 1 year and in the VA geriatric program. Worked at Salt Lake County Youth Services for 5 years as a substance abuse specialist and currently one in the Family Preservation Unit.

   

 

Cynthia Taylor, LCSW
Received her Master's Degree from the University of Utah with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Hawaii. She also completed an Alcohol and Drug Counselor Training Certificate Program from the University of Utah. She has over fifteen years working with people challenged by chemical dependency. Other areas of expertise include working with sexual abuse issues, stepfamily dynamics, parenting, women's issues, alternative lifestyles issues, depression, and personality disorders.
   

Steven R. Jones, MFT
Steve received his BS in Behavioral Science and MS in Psychological Counseling from National University in Fresno, California. Along with providing his services to Blomquist Hale's clients, he currently provides therapeutic and educational assistance to clients at Intermountain Specialty Abuse Treatment Center in Provo, Utah. He manages the Adolescent Sex Offender Program, facilitates adult Process Group for treatment of Domestic Violence, treats children who have been victims of physical and sexual abuse, and provides couples' marital therapy. Steve's specialty is helping married couples, or partners planning on marriage, develop strong cohesive relationships by emphasizing personal development so each partner will be able to bring their best self to their marriage. Steve and his wife of twenty-eight years, Cary, have raised three children and enjoy spending time with family, especially their two grandsons. In his spare time, he loves to travel and do construction projects around his home. Facilitates the Relationship Seminar in the Salt Lake office.
   
Alexis Worlock, M.Ed., LPC
Alexis got her Masters in General Counseling in 2000 from the University of Utah, and has worked in a variety of settings including Salt Lake County Jail. She specializes in crisis intervention, anxiety, depression, dreams, life purpose, and career and relationship fulfillment. She prefers to work with adults and late adolescents. Alexis is delightedly married and has two grown daughters and one oversized dog, Sylvester, who thinks she's pretty cool. She has lived in a lot of different places including Iran. She speaks a smattering of several languages and used to work as a dancer. Among her interests are folk dancing, writing, Israel and dark chocolate.
   

Holger "HJ" Harrer, LCSW
Received his Master's in Social Work from the University of Utah in May 2003 and his Social Psychology Bachelor of Science from Park University in June of 2000. HJ has worked with adult criminal justice clients, at risk adolescents, families and couples. Trained from a cognitive behavioral perspective with a holistic view. Currently working for Copper Hills Day Treatment with adolescents and their families.

   

Fritzie Hicks, LCSW
Received her Bachelors of Science in Math Education from Purdue University in 1977. Graduated from the University of Utah with a Master of Social Work in 1993. She has previously worked in Granite and SLC School Districts as a Social Worker and at Primary Children's Medical Center on several different units doing medical social work, crisis intervention and therapy for Safe & Healthy Families. Responsibilities have also included providing clinical supervision for graduate students from the Graduate school of Social Work for 5 years. She has done volunteer work for the Citizen Foster Care Review Board, The Children's Center and Valley Mental Health Foundation Board. (Uof U Office Only)
   
Jennifer Lepore
Jennifer is the office manager for the Salt Lake City/Corporate office. She has worked for Blomquist Hale Consulting since 1993 and has been an important part of our growth and success. Jennifer is the first point of contact when calling the SLC office. She has excellent people skills and spends many hours helping our clients sort out insurance problems and answering questions.
