The Blomquist Hale EAP offers you several types of help:

• Individual counseling BHC counselors use a brief, solution-focused therapy model. We teach you how to resolve your unique problem while providing caring support along the way.
  
  
• Marital and relationship counseling Relationship seminars and marital counseling are extremely helpful to create happy, healthy relationships
  
  
• Family counseling Difficulties with kids are generally best helped using a family therapy model that supports the parent’s attempts to assist their children.
  
  
• Group counseling Group therapy can be a very important tool to effectively address certain issues. Our offices offer group therapy free of charge. Several educational groups are also available.
  
  
• Legal advice and referrals A free legal consultation is available to explore your options. Should you need to hire an attorney to represent you, referral recommendations will be shared.
  
  
• Financial counseling and referrals Your EAP counselor will meet with you to explore solutions to financial problems and train you in cash flow management skills. A referral to community resources will be made for more serious difficulties.
  
  
• Child care referrals Where do you start in your search for child care? Knowing what to look for is something you can learn - quickly and easily. BHC offers you support in finding quality child-care for your children. We help you find services that emphasize health, safety, a good physical environment, caring adult/child interactions, activities to promote healthy growth and development and well-trained caregivers.
  
  There are many decisions to make in searching for quality child care:
  
  What type of care do I want for my child?
  How does my child's age affect the care I choose?
  How much care do I need?
  What are the cost considerations of finding care?

  We know that when you know your little ones are being cared for you can comfortably settle in at work and focus on the tasks at hand.
  
  

• Elder care support and referrals The Blomquist Hale EAP offers you support in finding Elder Care for your parents and aging loved ones. The challenges of helping our aging loved ones find needed services can sometimes be overwhelming. BHC provides you support in assessing your elder's overall situation, determining next steps to take, and identifying types of local services and resources appropriate for your elder. BHC also provides you support with the relationship issues that so often accompany this process. BHC is dedicated to helping people at every stage of the aging process lead more comfortable, secure and independent lives. BHC supports you in assessing, planning, managing and monitoring the best care for your loved ones.
  
  
• Crisis intervention services Should you find yourself in a crisis situation its nice to know that immediate assistance from a therapist is only a phone call away. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you should you face a crisis.
  
  
• Educational seminars Blomquist Hale offers a host of educational seminars to assist you. These are generally presented at your worksite and are designed to offer specific, helpful suggestions on a variety of topics. Topics range from wellness to work-life issues, and include training in specific leadership and work-related skills.

The entire cost of EAP services is covered in a monthly fee paid by your employer. All EAP services are free to you with no co-pay or deductible required.




With most companies there is no specific limit on the number of sessions provided by BHC. Any problem for which short-term counseling is the appropriate treatment will be handled within the EAP. Check with the EAP to see if your employer has set session limits.

Some types of problems will not respond to the short-term therapy offered by the EAP and are referred to community providers. The cost of referred services are not covered by the EAP. However, if a referral is necessary, BHC stays in close contact with you and your treatment providers to assure quality care.

Subscriber companies offer Blomquist Hale EAP services to their employees and anyone living with them. Most employers choose to include all employees, including part-time employees. Please contact your human resources department if you have questions about your eligibility.

Setting up an appointment is as simple as calling the office. You will be offered an appointment time, generally within a couple working days of your initial call. Crisis cases are seen the same day, generally within two hours. No paperwork or approval is needed and there is no charge. Counselors are available around the clock for emergency and crisis situations.




The EAP is a confidential service and no one in your company will know that you used it. In addition to our secure filing systems, disclosure of any information to third parties is performed only with your written consent in compliance with professional, federal and state confidentiality guidelines.

BHC has full-time offices in Salt Lake City, Orem/Provo, Ogden, Logan and Brigham City. We also have subcontracting offices in cities, towns and remote areas across the nation.
